Master of Divinity (M.Div)

The Master of Divinity (M.Div) prepares leaders for ministry in a church setting, chaplaincy, and other forms of religious leadership. Graduates provide leadership in renewal of the church, demonstrate critical and practical understanding of the Bible, and obtain requirements necessary for ordination.

Specializations for Contemporary Ministry:

• Women, Society, and Church Studies

Master of Arts in Christian Ministry

The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM)  is designed to provide theologically informed and competent lay and ordained leaders in specialized ministry for the local church and beyond. The MACM cultivates awareness of the social and cultural contexts in which ministry occurs. It promotes growth of knowledge and skills for competence in a specialized area of ministry.

Recently designed, this degree program will meet the academic requirements for ordination as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church.

Master of Arts in Theological Studies

The Master of Arts in Theological Studies or MATS is designed to provide academic grounding in theological studies for persons intending to pursue further graduate study or for personal academic research. The MATS degree program educates persons in biblical, historical, and theological studies through rigorous research and writing, culminating in an interdisciplinary capstone project in an area of academic specialization.

Doctor of Ministry (DMin)

The Doctor of Ministry (DMin) is the highest degree in professional ministry and seeks to provide advanced level leadership. Through study, reflection, engagement, and field research, the DMin program provides leaders in ministry an opportunity to reflect more deeply on their theology, identity, and practice of ministry, while developing a model of ministry which can be commended to other leaders.

Courses are offered online and in hybrid format (online and on campus for one week each fall and spring semester)
